DUST COLLECTORS
Today, more than ever before, managing dust is a priority. At McCoy Equipment we have the expertise to work with you through your process dust control options.
There are two primary types of filter systems; Dust Collectors and Filter Vents. Dust collectors utilize a fan or blower to create a negative pressure to draw the dirty air into the filter housing. Applications for Dust Collectors include the fill point for a ready mix truck or the dust removal from a machine or process. We recommend the use of systems with pleated synthetic filter elements to achieve the filter surface areas that are required by most environmental agencies, and these should be automatically cleaned using pulse jet compressed air.
FILTER VENTS
Filter Vents allows air to move both directions through the filter keeping the dust inside the container. Typically a Filter Vent would be used on a silo or enclosed scale to allow the air out during filling and back in again during discharge. Similar to Dust Collectors, we recommend the use of systems with pleated synthetic filter elements to achieve the filter surface areas that are required by most environmental agencies, and these should be automatically cleaned using pulse jet compressed air.
