Scale-Tron SiloWeigh

Overview

SiloWeigh is an inexpensive and easy installable item that tells you the actual weight of your silo or vessel contents. Other products indicate only an empty, full, or percentage of contents in a vessel or silo. With SiloWeigh, you can achieve accuracy within 1 to 2% of the actual weight!

Features and Advantages of SiloWeigh

• SiloWeigh is the first silo weighing system to use Weldable Strain Gauges, which attach directly to the silo legs. This method eliminates the need to lift the silo onto load cells, making it easy to install.
• Three types of sensors:
  1. Silex Bold-On Strain Guage Sensors
  2. Traditional Weldable Sesnors
  3. Liquid Level Sensors
• Three types of sensors allow you to choose what sensor would work best with your operation for the accuracy you need.
• Temperature Compensated. The “all-weather components” allow you to set up the display system in an indoor location up to 200 feet from the silo. This is a convenient, yet still accurate feature of the SiloWeigh.
• Integrated Display. The display can show bar graphs of one or several silos separately in a single cabinet. Having all of your silo weights in a readable format increases efficiency and productivity.

Options

Scale-Tron has announced a new option, Solar Power, for its SiloWeigh vessel and silo weighing system. 

This includes:

• 1. A solar panel charger
• 2. Rechargeable battery
• 3. Power regulator and special version of Bar-Graph display to run from the 12 volt storage battery.

A time-delay relay and push button activates the system, which runs normally for 2 minutes before shutting down again to conserve power.  Using this way, the Siloweigh system can run several vessels/silos at the same time from the one solar source.  The solar panel charger is fully weatherproofed and is mounted outside, while the SiloWeigh display cabinet is mounted indoors or under a shaded weather cover to allow the display to be seen in sunlight.
