ThermalcureTM Radiant Heat Curing

Hot water is circulated in a closed-loop pipe system that is located under a concrete form. The closed-loop pipe system radiates heat through convection and conduction to the form and into the concrete to accelerate the curing or hardening process.

ThermalcureTM Benefits
  • Acceleration of concrete strength gain
  • Prevention of condensation
  • Piping doesn't interfere with production
  • Preheating of forms
With water temperatures up to 160ºF (70ºC to 80ºC) a maximum concrete temperature of 120ºF (50ºC) can be achieved - reducing hardening times. A tarp should cover the concrete during curing in order to prevent moisture loss due to evaporation.

Distribution System

The main manifold provides for hot water under the individual concrete forms by heavy-duty pumps. The closed-loop pipe network, located under the concrete form, is designed to provide even heat transmission over any length and width of form. This is achieved through size and layout of the outgoing hot water and return water pipes.

ThermalcureTM Heating System

A water heater and storage tank provide for simple and efficient hot water production and storage. This equipment may be located away from the production area or in a container to eliminate congestion.

The equipment is delivered pre-assembled, wired and tubed. Oil, natural gas or propane and current supply (230V/115V) are required as well as fresh air supply and a vent.
